I’m Keira, and this is my blog.
I’m into eating, cooking, grocery shopping, markets and did i mention eating?
I love travel, but can’t afford to, so I’ll be using my local library and the good people of the internet to help me sample food from all over the world, and turn it vegan.
It is very likely I will bastardize much of what I cook, in an effort to veganise, as well as to make it edible for my not-too-spicy partner. But for the most part I will aim to keep things as close to ‘authentic’ as possible.
The countries will be chosen at random, based either on the availability of library books, ingredients, what I feel like eating, and perhaps special national holidays and current events.
Feel free to make suggestions, and I’d love to hear any extra info you want to give to me on food from your country.
Cheers!

OMG you are so funny!!!!!
I love your web site. You are the cleverest woman to put all your hilarious moments and not-funny-at-the-time tantrums – the whole bit.
I’m gunna forward this to my email databse people cos its so good I want them all to see it.
I think every woman who’s ever had a kitchen disaster (or eaten something that tasted like earwax!!) is goona chuckle all day.
xxxxxxxx Mum
and say hi to Mr for me.
Aww, thanks!
Woo hoo! I made some Middle Eastern inspired dishes whilst at culinary school here http://bit.ly/9EqCFj
I am Australian, but live in Saudi Arabia and also travel the world with my job as an International Flight Attendant.
Wow, the meal at your link looks fab! Especially the cigar things. I couldn’t figure out how o comment there, so I figured I’d reply here.
No worries, I recently changed to a new theme so I think all my old posts aren’t able to be commented on
No idea why. Cool blog!
Hi Keira,

All the best,
Aimee
Thanks! hope you enjoy it
Hi Keira,
I’m enjoying reading of your adventures. I like the peas background on your blog; if you’d like a “seamless tile” copy, I have a program that made one quickly. You can download it here:

PS. By coincidence, my girlfriend and I went to Crazy Pepper a week ago, then I read about your dining there. It’s right at the BART station near Katie’s house
Hey Lea!
Thanks a bunch for the background
I haven’t had time to put it up yet, but it will definitley be up soon.
Funny about the Crazy Pepper place – its really good, too
Hope you’re well and good!
Keira
Hi,
I just stumbled on your blog. It was meant to be. I am American, have been vegetarian for almost 10 years and have slowly been working my way to being Vegan. I am also fat and heavily into the fat (actually body) acceptance and Health at Every Size movements. My BF is from Pakistan and he often shares desserts and dishes with lentils or chickpeas (channa) as he calls them with me. In any case, I love your blog and have signed up to receive your postings.
Cindy
Hi,
Thanks
Have you come across http://www.fatnutritionist.com/? I love her.
I love chickpeas! Not so hot on lentils, but each to their own.
Thanks for your lovely comment, I hope you enjoy the blog
Hi There! Just found your blog via BlogHer Travel and happy to have found a fellow travel/food blogger! Most of my travel is the US and Canada although much of mine is for my “day” job. Although I try to take one big trip every year or so. This year it’s France, Spain, and possibly Portugal. Looking forward to future posts!
Hi, Glad you found me
Mostly mine wont be about travel, but about trying o cook food from around the world, but I’m glad you’ve liked the travel posts so far
I was just thinking I should make a blog about my travels as a vegan called Around the world vegan and then I stumbled upon yours haha. Your blog is amazing!
You should still start your blog, and tell me what its called when you do. Its a popular topic, but a lot of fun, and we can never have too much shared info on where to find fab vegan food. Good luck!
